Peak Labels

A PeakLab Graph offers the means to add Peak Labels. The following labels are available:

· None - do not display any labels

· X at Ymax Scanned - scan each peak data stream for the X value location of the global Y maximum

· Ymax Scanned - scan each peak data stream for the global Y maximum

· X at Ymin Scanned - scan each peak data stream for the X value location of the global Y minimum

· Ymin Scanned - scan each peak data stream for the global Y minimum

· Amplitude (measured) - label each peak with the measured amplitude value

· Area (measured) - label each peak with the measured area value

· Center (measured) - label each peak with the measured center value (mode or apex)

· FWHM (measured) - label each peak with the measured FWHM value (full width at half maxima)

· Asym50 (measured) - label each peak with the measured Asym50 (asymmetry at half-maxima)

· Moment 0 (area) - label each peak with the estimated zeroth moment (area)

· Moment 1 (mean) - label each peak with the estimated first moment (mean)

· Moment 2 (as SD) - label each peak with the estimated sqrt of the second moment (SD, sqrt(variance))

· Moment 3 (skew) - label each peak with the estimated third moment (skew)

· Moment 4 (kurtosis) - label each peak with the estimated fourth moment (kurtosis)

· Area Parameter (a0) - label each peak with the current a0 parameter value

· Center Parameter (a1) - label each peak with the current a1 parameter value

· Width Parameter (a2) - label each peak with the current a2 parameter value

· Shape Parameter (a3) - label each peak with the current a3 parameter value

· Shape2 Parameter (a4) - label each peak with the current a4 parameter value

Labels are centered above each peak and written in the color used for that particular peak. Positions are automatically adjusted upward or downward so that no labels overlap.

The four scanned options do not use any external peak scan information. Each component peak to be plotted consists of an X,Y table containing one entry for each X pixel in the graph. These numeric values are scanned for X and Y minima and maxima to produce these labels. As such, the resolution of these labels will be somewhat limited.

In the AutoFit scan procedures, the measured options will display the auto scan values. These will only be as accurate as the scan estimates. The area is particularly likely to be inaccurate. In the Review, the actual values derived from the fit are displayed as labels. At this stage, these values will have the accuracy indicated in the Numeric Summary.

The moments and parameter values will only be available within the Review, after a fit has been made.
